How to Insert Read More Link in Blogger Posts?


read more button in bloggerThe read more button or link is mostly designed in custom blogger templates however, you'll have to insert this link somewhere in your post in Blogger default templates and you'll have to designed it as well. Because there is an option in the post editor  called "JUMP BREAK" which you can use to insert a read more link inside your blog posts. This post will also teach you about how to change your Read more text to a beautiful picture like our blog. 

If you are using a default blogger template which I know doesn't have read more link designed by default. So you'll have to add the RM link by yourself to each of the post you publish. There are many custom templates which also don't have this option enabled. But we'll first add a jump break or RM link to our default template and then I'll teach you changing the Read More text to a picture. But one thing is to make sure that you need to use the jump break option in every blog post.

Inserting ReadMore link in Blogger Posts? 

While writing a post in blogger post editor there is an option called "Jump Break"which can always be used to insert the read more link anywhere you want in the post. See below image for exactly understanding it.

That option is actually used to insert the RM link inside a post in blogger. Just keep the cursor there, where you want to insert the RM link. Usually people insert it after the first paragraph.

How to Change ReadMore Text to a Picture? 

Now let's assume we've a custom template installed which is having the read more link by default and we want to change the RM text to a beautiful picture like our blog then simply follow given steps below:

  1. Go to Template >> HTML >> Proceed >> Expand Widget Template
  2. Now search for "Read More" and you'll find it once
  3. Upload your picture to your blog and save that in a draft post
  4. Now just copy the URL of the picture
  5. Insert it in place of "read More" by using <img> tag
  6. Save your template and everything is done!
